How do I connect a controller to another Xbox in the same house?

OK, so I have 2 Xbox’s and 3 controllers. In order to switch a controller to the other Xbox, I have to unplug the power and connect. The problem is, one Xbox is upstairs and one is down. It is really annoying going back and forth. Is there a way to connect to the other Xbox without disconnecting power?
