My Xbox got the three red rings earlier today but is working now. How long before it dies for good?

I was playing COD and my game froze. I restarted it and I got the 3 rrod. After 30 minutes of restarting my system the red rings would show up sometimes and my Xbox would work others. I prolly got rrod about 12 times but it’s back on now and I am playing. Everything is plugged in so I don’t think that is the problem. How long until my Xbox officially dies for good?

Why does my Xbox overheat sometimes and work perfectly fine other times?

I have an Xbox 360 that i have already had to send back because it got the ring of death, now it is having problems again. My Xbox keeps overheating at my house after playing it for only 5 minutes but if i go to my friends house it never overheats. Is it a problem with my X box or is it problems with the power at my house?
I have tried all of the suggestions listed on xbox.com. and i have tried every outlet in my house.

How to get Xbox Live with an air card connected to your laptop?

I currently have the Xbox Arcade system. I am planning on purchasing the Xbox Live starter pack for it. It comes with an ethernet cable. I have no internet connection in my house, but i have wi-fi and a Sprint Air Card, and my computer is a laptop. Is it possible and how do I connect my system to Xbox Live through that. Is there anything else I need to buy?
